This coming Saturday (November 11) my group is running a bocce tourney fund-raiser for Exchange Club (whose pet charity is child abuse prevention). Last year's was a success with 12 four-player teams in the field and this year we are shooting for 16 teams. If you will be in the neighborhood of North Andover, Massachusetts, please consider entering or dropping by to roll a couple balls in our "closest to the pallino" contest. 1) MIKE GRASSER LAUNCHES DAVINCIBOCCE.COM
Landscape architect and bocce lover Michael Grasser has launched a terrific new web site (with a little help from yours truly). Mike retails the Italian-made Super Martel Bocce products including high end bocce balls, shoes, scoreboards, and measures.
There is a huge inventory of balls (sets of 4, bag and pallino purchased separately). These are not the K-Mart specials that a lot of recreation players prefer. These are the real deal. According to Grasser "In pointing, they start straight and finish straight. When shooting, they have the anti-rebound characteristics that the professionals demand."
The site, still a "work in progress" as they say, also features carry bags and other accessories. You can contact Mike via the site if you want him to build a backyard or commercial bocce court for you, and soon there will be info on building DaVinci Facilities. "After traveling around the world to view and compete in some of the best Boccedromes, we have created formal design plans for building bocce facilities including dining area/restaurant and four to eight indoor international sized bocce courts."

2) A WORK-AROUND FOR BOUNCED JOY OF BOCCE WEEKLY EMAILS
The Joy of Bocce Weekly is still struggling (along with the rest of the ezine industry) with email deliverability. No matter how hard we try, we can't get subscribers to "Confirm" their subscriptions and/or "whitelist" us with their email providers.
Here's my latest solution: Each week when I launch the ezine (usually late Sunday evening), I immediately archive the issue on the web site. So, all anyone has to do on Monday morning (or anytime thereafter) is go to JoyofBocce.com - click on Back Issues - then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the current issue. Please help get the word out about this so that those who are missing the ezine can access it via my web site.
Don't forget - you have to scroll to the end, past 5 years of archived Joy of Bocce ezines. Thanks.

3) BRUCE MOODY SELLING RIGHTS TO HIS VIDEO SERIES...
"I am looking for a buyer for our four 'Let's Play' Backyard Sports Series (Bocce, Horseshoes, Croquet & Badminton) masters. With the dramatic increase in our video deposition business, I simply do not have the time to market these special interest titles to the best of their potential.
The great thing about these titles is the information doesn't have a 'shelf life' and they can generate income for many years.
What does the buyer get? In addition to the BetaSP master of the program, we can transfer the rights to the title(s) with my current duplication / fulfillment house (if desired) so they can continue shipping the programs for you. This facility can also prepare DVD's, including insert sheets for the DVD cases from the existing VHS artwork.
As with anything you've taken a lot of personal pride and care with, you want to make sure that one of your creations has a good home."
