"Here is a great shot of a September 11, 1949 Bocce Game hosted by the 15 Club which was a summer outing in Oradell, New Jersey for the customers and guests of The Lakewood Tavern located in Jersey City, New Jersey. My grandfather, Peter Placito is the gentleman with the handkerchief around his neck and the owner of the bar/restaurant."

Valanzola adds... "The 15 Club was hosted by my grandfather that year (1949) but it was a bar/restaurant owners' association and each year they would organize an outing.
One notable member was Dolly Sinatra, Frank's mom., who owned a bar on Willow St. in Hoboken for many years. Bocce was a big part of the outing and everyone looked forward to the annual outing to re-challenge former rivals."
