Photos courtesy of Lynn Iorii who writes..."On January 22, 2011, the Order of Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) Prince of Piedmont Lodge #475 in Wilmington, Delaware, held its first "Annual Frostbite Bocce Tournament". The food was prepared, tents were erected, heaters started and all gathered at the bocce alleys to begin the tournament at 8:30 AM."

"There were 12 teams consisting of 48 members competing in this double elimination tournament."

"With the temperature ranging around 23 degrees, many players stood under the heaters while awaiting their turn."

"The alleys held up pretty good considering the snow and melting ice."

"Throughout the day, many stopped to watch the bocce activity while cheering on their family and friends. The day ended with a hot dinner and the top three teams claiming their bragging rights."
