Doc Holliday Bocce Tournament |

Photos of the third annual Doc Holliday Bocce Tournament (2006) courtesy of George Danner. "It was a sunny day but the fire pits were very popular after the sun went down. We had 40 rollers and 10 teams." |
"Bill Dunn, distant cousin of John Henry 'Doc' Holliday was the guest of honor. Clint Ivie and his 'Sol Junky Band' performed. Movie producer and director Shaun Benton rolled as a 'rookie' but became hooked real fast." |
Says Danner..."I became interested in the history of Doc when I met Bill ten years ago at the Doc Holliday Fair." With good friends, good food and beverages, two courts, and fire pits, this mid-winter event is a perennial success. |
A close point. This looks like an amiable crowd. In some areas, if you touch the pallino you lose your fingers! |
