Doc Holliday Bocce Tournament
(Griffin, GA)

Photos of the third annual Doc Holliday Bocce Tournament (2006) courtesy of George Danner.
"It was a sunny day but the fire pits were very popular after the sun went down. We had 40 rollers and 10 teams."

"Bill Dunn, distant cousin of John Henry 'Doc' Holliday was the guest of honor. Clint Ivie and his 'Sol Junky Band' performed. Movie producer and director Shaun Benton rolled as a 'rookie' but became hooked real fast."

Says Danner..."I became interested in the history of Doc when I met Bill ten years ago at the Doc Holliday Fair." With good friends, good food and beverages, two courts, and fire pits, this mid-winter event is a perennial success.

A close point. This looks like an amiable crowd. In some areas, if you touch the pallino you lose your fingers!
