Rhode Island Bocce

Great Rhode Island bocce court at the home of John Cece. Photos courtesy of John Cece. John got building tips from Carmine D'Agostino and the Joy of Bocce websites. See Camanooch's site here http://www.gis.net/~carmine63/

Says Cece..."The dimensions are 60 feet by 12 feet. We used about 40 yards of gravel as a base and about 20 yards of stone dust for the surface. I added three halogen lights (total 1500 watts) which I can control from indoors. There are two cement patio areas on the sides each having a 14 foot bench, and two benches at the ends that are 12 feet long."

Great looking court. Looks like John has thought of everything!

Now that's what I call a ball rack! Cece added a display case with different weights, sizes and models of bocce balls.

They do things BIG in Little Rhody. Looks like they play to 15 hereabouts.

Benches, scoreboard, ball rack, lights...this place is SWEET!
